Rita, Spain, Day 25: Fill Your own Tank First

Hello Rick,

I will thank you from the depths of my heart for providing this tour thru 37 lessons of Extreme Thoughts.

You have supported me in making my biggest mental advance, in the letting go of old stuff and helping me in looking inside discovering a magnificent powerful soul who only wants to love and spread love.

Fill your own tank first, be selfish, your motto for day 25, has been the most meaningful lesson for me while changing most of my priorities and having the most loving returns.

Eternal thanks to you

Rita, one of your followers

Day 2 is my favorite, Ana in the Philippines

Hi RIck!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU SO MUCH!… your program has helped me a lot specially in this very challenging times. There are days i missed but i make sure i go back to it. Most rewarding and the most enjoyable part of the program is day2 when i go back and count my blessings…ITS COUNTLESS! I never thought life could be so beautiful even amidst struggles, trials and challenges! It made me feel good almost instantly.

You don’t mind if I will pass this on to friends and relatives who will benefit from your program…would you? I just wish our “life coaches” could offer “help” like what you did for FREE. This is real HELP…nothing attached to it…no price to pay…i could only say THANK YOU for all the help. May you continue to help others in search for growth and enlightenment.

It’s changing my life in so many ways!

Dear Rick,

I really don’t know where to start. You ask for the one action step that has been most meaningful, but I can honestly say I can’t give you just one. It is beginning to change my life in ways I couldn’t have imagined. I am so grateful that you gave out this wonderful information.

Sending out the cards has had an amazing impact on the family and friends I have so far sent them to and I love doing it. I will often add motivational quotes, or just say i love you. Whatever feels good. It has really been appreciated. I also went out and brought several audio books which I now listen to when I am in the car. It makes me feel better instantly, particularly if I start to let work stress gets to me. Also the exercise action step has been fantastic. I actually wake up now excited to do exercise and even if I don’t feel excited I have a compulsion to do it and then feel great.

I have a long way to go and as you say it is a life time journey, but thank you so much for being such a positive guide on my journey and at the perfect time.

Love, light and abundance

Janet

My Favorite Body Part… thanks

Dear Rick:

I wanted to comment on how wonderful your 37 Day Progam has been for me.

A friend of mine had a son named John who I had known briefly. He joined the National Guard and went to Iraq for about nine months and upon his return he came to my office to process his unemployment paperwork. Imagine my surprise the first time he came in and I saw he was now a man and looked so shiney and bright! We hugged and I thanked him for his service. He had the best hugs! The last time I saw John he was at my work again and I was on the run and he called to me across the room and I waved but for a few days afterward I thought about his great hugs and how I wished I had taken the time to walk over to him and get one of those hugs. John was full of life and had a wonderful light about him since his military service. John was killed in MAy while driving his truck. It appears that he swerved to miss an animal and hit an embankment, was airborne and ejected from the vehicle. He died at the scene. His mother is my best friend so I told her I would take the family photos and create a slideshow for the showing. I scanned about 250 family photos and ran them on a loop on two laptops and we played a cd of his techno music that was very nice and quite good. There were lines of people at both computers watching the photos of John’s life and it made me very proud to help the family celebrate the life of their son. Susan, John’s mom, to show her appreciation, booked us for a pedicure. I’m a single mom of three boys and I’ve been single for 13 years so I’ve never had a pedicure! I walked out of the salon like I was walking on air! Suddenly I understood what being a pampered woman was all about! We sat in these heated massage chairs, our feet in this whirlpool and experienced bliss. Sharing with you the love of my body part, my pampered toes! Thank you for your information. It’s nice to think about good things.

Choosing the better thought

It all comes down to choosing the better thought.  I’ve been trying to do this for years!  Somedays it is easy and as is life somedays not so much….what you are doing is putting it out there on a daily basis and that is key…all the material I choose to read is on a positive note…I love yours and look forward to reading something from you each day…that is key.
You are doing a great service and I thank-you!!

I have renewed hope about my breast cancer

Hello Rick,
The one particular day (33) on health and disease was helpful in reinforcing my thinking on the subject of healing.

Your profound statement:  your behavior must match your belief  solidifies even more my decision to use alternative treatment for my breast cancer that was diagnosed in November of 08. I had the surgeries (actually 2 of them and elected to do breast reconstruction) in Jan. of this year and while I was in recovery mode, I read up on alternative (especially after visits with 2 oncologists and radiologists, my gut reaction to the use of chemo and radiation wasn’t in sync with my core). What else was helpful in my decision to go this route were some key interactions with some people over the course of a weekend–in fact it was the weekend of the Mind Body Spirit expo (amazing how people “pop” into your life when needed!)
Anyways, I work with a naturopath and doing a lot to rebuild my immune system, including going on a vegetarian diet.

So thank you for saying what you did on Day 33, especially with your medical career background. Think I will do the breathing exercise you recommend right now!
Sincerely,
Barb

When are you going to publish a book?

Dear  Rick,
With your 37 Day Makeover?  I love the content and have thoroughly been blessed with this devotional series.  I keep going over my previous emails from Day 1.  Would like to have it in an Ebook download so I can sit and read from page to page.  Is that possible?

A little personal info about myself:
I am the mother of four children, ages 29, 18, 16, and 10.  The wife of a soldier and the mother of a soldier.  Both have served in Iraq and represented the U.S. and our military well.  Neither has ever had to take a human life, for which I am so greatfull.  I have survived cancer and my father died at age 50 from the same type of cancer, melanoma.  That began my journey into wholefood nutrition to heal the body.  Then I became severely ill and was misdiagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, mononeucleosis, and fibromyalsia.  But then I met a doctor who was with the Center for Disease Control in Maryland and he diagnosed me correctly with full blown Lymes Disease.  That began my journey and commitment once again to wholefood nutrition and the power of prayer to bring healing and balance back to my body.  I am healed!  My daughter was diagnosed with Celiac Disease after many years of not knowing exactly was her cause of severe illness.  She is now completely healed through understanding experiencially the principle of “Let Food Be Your Medicine”  and the power of prayer. She can eat anything she wants now, but has not forgotten the value of food choices and the importance of maintaining balance in life.  The last obstacle to be defeated in our life…is lack of money…of which I am working on that one at present.  Your 37 Days has been an inspiration to me and just wanted you to know that part of my story too.
Thank you sincerely,
Teresa Steele Lydon

Personal Testimonial for Dr. Schaefer

I’ve known Dr. Schaefer for almost 20 years.

We met under the circumstances of Rick hiring me to “trick out” his private recording studio at his home and at his lake house.

He did not hire me as a music/composition instructor as many of my clients did, probably because he was as accomplished a pianist/keyboard player as I, (or at least aspired to be),

Both of us had the honor of having Tommy Sheridan as a piano teacher from an early age, as did Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads), Scott Finch (Gypsie, Blue Hand, Gods and Freaks), etc..)

Rick had a passion to learn the “latest and greatest” in technology and professional recording.

I have always had the joy of having him as one of my greatest “learning companions” and now it is I that is benefiting from his teaching me the “latest an greatest” of the new technology of transformation,….

…and “tricking out” my personal performance space.

Thanks again “doc”,
