Hi Rick!
I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to review your program! I am on day 35 today. There were two that I found very interesting so far and that is day 31 about diet and nutrition. I completely agree with you. Babies are born with the ability to only eat what they need, they do not over-eat, that is a learned behavior taught to them by parents insisting they eat everything on thier plate (even though they didn’t select what or how much is on thier plate). As a parent, I refuse to force my children to eat, I let them gauge thier own intake. What I learned from this day though, is that as much as I am trying to help my children be okay with what they eat and how much, I am not allowing myself that same luxery. I am always caught up in what I eat and when, that might be part of my problem.
The other day I really like is the Take a Walk day. I have been walking my kids to school and back now and I love it! My daughter and I stop to smell the lilacs, we talk about the different houses, dogs, plants, etc that we see on the way and even though it’s the same walk every day we still find new things to talk about and look at! Even Kaylee (my 6 month old) loves the walks! My son on the other hand loves to ride his bike to school as fast as he can so he can play with his buddies before school starts. (You can’t take the boy out of him!)
It is so amazing how you can point out things that seem so ‘obvious’. Most of us are too busy in life to realize it.
