Your Daily Focus: Teamwork
The first principle in building a great team is to acquire top talent. – Pat Williams
Fifteen years ago when I was building a team in the network marketing industry I studied a lot of leadership and team-building material. One of my favorites was Pat Williams’ book The Magic of Teamwork: Proven Principles for Building a Winning Team. He was the Senior Executive Vice President of the Orlando magic basketball team. The Magic went from an NBA expansion team to the NBA Finals in just a few years.
Wherever people come together to get a job done, that is a team. I currently have a contract to develop a new medical clinic here in Milwaukee specializing in treatment of arthritis of the knee. As I am working on this project, I am reminded of this critical first step: acquire top talent. So, how do you do it? Simply put your attention on it… continually, precisely, and deeply. In other words, think about it! Oh, and allow no doubt or opposing thoughts to creep in.
I am setting the intention to be surrounded by the best specialists in the business, including marketing, advertising, call center service, mail fulfillment, clinical care, physical therapy, office management, billing, medical assistance, and of course reception. Each specialty player is as important as the next, and our project will only achieve maximum success if each player holds the mission and vision of the complete project, and is masterful at their own particular specialty. This includes the building owner and manager as well.
I have set the intention, and continually place my attention on these masterful specialists finding me, and am having great early success in almost every area at this point in time. I’ll keep you posted…
Enjoy,
Rick
Rick,
Your affirmation for teamwork is a pleasing example of how to attract these highly qualified individuals. I use this gratitude often. One additional demand I use is time, these people are on their way Now!
“Now” organizes the Universe to the shortest time frame. An old affirmation style may say, I will have… and the fulfillment is forever coming. I now have… creates a sense of when. Your email is so appropriate, I am Now blessed from reading it.
