Your Daily Focus: Recognition
Give yourself credit for all the ways you are masterful at looking on the bright side.
Each of us has the gift of a mindset to convert the negative to the positive in some areas of our life. Some of us really understand sports, and have mastered the art of winning and losing. That’s what good sportsmanlike conduct is. Some have mastered the understanding of sales, how every “no” from a potential customer gets you that much closer to a “yes,” or how every “no” really just means “not yet.”
Some have masterful artistic skills like writing, painting, or cooking and understand that a rough draft or a new recipe attempt that doesn’t work out so well is a normal step towards creating a masterpiece. Some of us are brilliant teachers and can be accepting and encouraging to others when their results are not completely right as they are learning something new. Some have infinite patience with babies and children as they learn. Some have infinite patience and can encourage patients in the medical rehabilitation environment.
I would like to encourage you to recognize this. Each of you is already masterful in “looking on the bright side” in some areas of your life. Give yourself credit for this. Celebrate all the ways you are already masterful in converting what on the surface looks like a bad thing to what will over time turn out to be a good thing. Recognize this and give yourself credit. The more you do this, the more you will be able to expand this optimistic life skill into other areas of your life.
Recognize this… you already are a masterpiece!
Great message Rick. After going through a very challenging divorce it put a new perspective on recognizing the outside factors that want to have influence in my life. I have learned to control the input I will receive allowing me to share this with others to help them gain the same kind of control. Once I learned how to master this in one area of my life I have been able to “duplicate” it in all other areas of my life. It is such an amazing feeling!
