Your Daily Focus: Perfection
Everything always goes perfectly for me.
This is my affirmation. I like to recite this, and think this, and post it to my bathroom mirror, and my refrigerator, and the rear view mirror in my car. You are probably wondering how can that really be. How can everything really go perfectly for anyone, ever.
Well, as usual, that requires turning from the outside world to the inside world. Imagine that everything that you create in your world is perfectly aligned with the master plan, with the infinite intelligence with which we all have a personal connection. Imagine that each challenge is an opportunity for learning and growth. Imagine that in your conscious state you might not see the perfection of everything right away, as it appears to your inner self or your spirit.
Imagine that if on a cellular level you are craving an opportunity for growth and expansion, and the entire world is collaborating with you on that desire, then things will show up in your life to help you along that path. You may not recognize them immediately as being helpful to this path, and you may first consider them “bad” or “unfortunate,” and you might push against them. No worries, the world will conspire to bring you what you desire again, in another way and another way until you finally embrace it.
You will then see that all the bits and pieces, all the events, all the thoughts and beliefs and behaviors are all leading you to your true inner desire. And that true inner desire cannot be hidden from your true inner self, or the infinite intelligence all around you. It is not about judgment, or knowing what is good or bad. It is about the mystery, savoring the mystery of the perfection of our lives. So, you see…
Everything always goes perfectly for you too.
Rick, thanks for reminding me. You are so right on about the internal focus. I love that I get to experience my creation, except when I don’t. Even then, what a fun game! Whoo hoo! I love games, and I love even more realizing that it’s a game and that I choose how I feel in the game about how it’s going and that this change helps me enjoy it.
Rick, this past year has been filled with ‘bad’, ‘unfortunate’, and very discouraging events. They are far too many to list here and yet for some reason my family has not given in to the negative and continue to look for and expect that “Everything will go perfectly for us!”
In all my years as a pastor, father, husband and leader I have experienced an overwhelming sence of God’s leading even in the darkest hour. I really needed to be reminders that it is only in the darkness that we can begin to see the light and rely on the power outside of ourselves to perfectly work out everything.
