Your Daily Focus: Aaaaaaaaaaaay!

Do you remember Arthur Fonzarelli? He was a character played by Henry Winkler known as the Fonz in the 1970’s television sitcom Happy Days.

His tagline was “Aaaaaaaaaaaay!” with a thumbs-up pose. It represented coolness and confidence, and a supreme knowing. So let’s try it today.

Every time we pass a mirror today, let’s glance at ourselves and give a big thumbs up and an “Aaaaaaaaaaaay!” Let’s be irresistibly excited to see ourselves. Let’s give the sign of ultimate approval to our favorite person, the one we spend every single minute of our lives with.

Let’s build our confidence, increase our self-love, and increase our personal approval rating. Hey, why not, we can just as easily choose to approve as disapprove, right? Who not make ourselves feel better and better about ourselves all through the day. It’s never anyone else’s responsibility to approve of us, it is our primary job description. It is indeed our own opinion that matters most.

Let’s have fun, laugh, and do it over and over. Let’s look deeply in our own eyes and approve. As we do it, let’s let a few memories of our most successful moments run through our minds. Let’s bring up memories of great accomplishments, of great insight and wisdom, of spectacular decisions, of great charity. They are all there, let them surface and be part of our day today.

Why not! It’ll make us feel good, and it’ll become magnetic, attracting more and more of our greatness.

In downtown Milwaukee along the Riverwalk there is a statue named the Bronze Fonz. Let’s imagine our own face on that statue, and let’s imagine giving our approval to everyone who walks by, and giving them all smiles.

What I would like to say to you right now is, “Aaaaaaaaaaaay! You are wonderful, fabulous, unique, magical, and spectacular. Aaaaaaaaaaaay!, and so am I!”

Rick – you have just made that show come to life! One of my favourite episodes is where the “Fonz” , after some discussion with Richie, adjusts his motorcycle mirrors so that he can see his own reflection instead of the traffic behind him. That way he can admire himself as he rides along.

Disclaimer – only try that on a closed circuit with a professional driver

  2. ok so… that was a truly laugh out loud moment. I love this idea. I can just see doing this. i am sending this to everyone at work, to my daughter, to everyone. I will have fun with this today. thank you- amy
