Your Daily Focus: Consistency

06.13.2011 · Posted in Quotes / Daily Focus

If you really want to make a change in your life, it is a 24/7 commitment. It is not difficult; it simply requires consistency.

We need to learn to ask for what we want, and learn to do it in a relentless fashion, and never let any opposing thought sneak in. Asking is a learned skill, a perfected habit. When we enter the world, we have full command of this concept.

As babies, when we are hungry, we relentlessly send out signals letting the world know we desire to be fed. We do not let up until our desire is met. The same was true in our request to have a dirty diaper changed or in being held and cuddled. But over time, most of us allow ourselves to be trained by those around us. We incorporate messages like “behave yourself, it’s not polite to interrupt, don’t cry, don’t yell, mind your manners, or put others first.”

Through this process, we learn the skill of suppressing what we want. We acquire the habit of putting our desires behind those of others. So now we need to retrain and master the habit of putting ourselves first when we have a desire that we really want to manifest. We need to ask consistently, and not let mixed messages like, “Maybe I don’t deserve it anyway,” or, “maybe I am not worthy” creep in.

We basically need to learn the habit of being positive and optimistic consistently. There needs to be an emotional match. I use a technique I call the “Three-Minute Drill” to bring in something big that I really want. I set reminders and post notes and set alarms on my phone and computer to remind me every three minutes to focus on that which I want.

Most importantly, it reminds me to wash out any negative thinking about anything that might block my receiving of the good I desire.

It may sound like a little much to you at this moment, but it is a great tool to use to help develop consistent positive thinking. Become more and more of a master in offering the same positive emotion, energy, and vibration. You will find that you are answered quickly and effortlessly, often with the answer arriving even before the question is asked. That is when it really gets fun!

As you get better and better at keeping your attention on the positive, you will also find that the negative simply can no longer find you. It will not match up to your emotional state. People you know that used to whine and complain to you will bring you a more positive message. It is really wonderful to watch as this happens. You will observe your entire outside world transforming according to the evolution and shift of your inner world: which are your thoughts, feelings, and emotions… which you actually have complete control over!

This is very helpful to me-reminding oneself every moment of the day to be positive,as this is the necessary ingredient which I lack so much, hence my retrogression in being positive.

I will always apply your reminder technique.

    Thanks to you.
